While standing outside on my snow covered balcony while in my Air Force uniform (BDUs). I looked down and saw black boots in contrast to the stark white snow. The contrast of the boots against the snow represents division... The fact that I'm standing well that's pure coincidence hehe.

United We Stand, divided we fall.

I won't express my political views because this in not time nor the place... However, I will say this much, like our feet... if we become too divided we won't be able to stand.

Absolutely bad ass

I take it the background was eliminated by whiteness in PS (an assumption), but non the less exposure was well manouvered. The shadows amplify the dramatic impact of the message, and yet reveal plenty of detail that makes this piece very visualy engageing.
It's raw , simple yet strong, just as the steal focus of mission among the military personel. From the formation excercises we used to do in scouts, I have learned that the way you position your feet is of crutial importance to your balance. Again, yet another very essential alusion to the concept. The snow adds that something, elevating it from the ordinary and making it interesting and unique, as well as boosting the desired contrast. And yet the difference if textures, inbetween the melting snow and the leather boots also helps build up that very compact atmosphere of tension that is ever so reminiscent of the "stand still" military position, whose allusion extends all the way to the stoikness and pride of a country as a nation. I concur
